EVBox, a leading manufacturer of EV charging solutions, has announced its plans to move into the Green Business Park Carnaperhof. The Essen-based facility will serve as EVBox's training centre, creating a centralized training location in the Ruhr region for EVBox's partners.
ESSEN, July 20, 2023 — EVBox is expanding its facilities with a new training centre in Essen, which will be used for partner trainings and certification. The new German headquarters will be situated on more than 1100 m2 and divided into three units. In addition to the training centre, where 700 partners and employees will be trained annually, a test centre will be added where engineers can test both, AC and DC charging stations. Additionally the space will serve as a warehouse for spare parts.
The centre will be situated in the Green Business Park Carnaperhof, which covers an area of 6000 m2 and is located north of Essen. The creation of modern and sustainable space primarily for small and medium-sized enterprises and for start ups from a wide range of industries will create 130 new jobs in the future.
EVBox is currently in the process of moving into the business park and plans to finalize the location in the next few months in order to be able to offer its partners a variety of training courses and certifications—not only in Bordeaux and Amsterdam, but now also in Germany.
The Green Business Park Carnaperhof combines a variety of advantages and is in line with the company's values, which is why EVBox decided to open a training centre in Essen.
The site of today's modern business park was previously used as a coal mine. By re-using and mobilizing such brownfields, new and contemporary commercial space can be created sustainably — in line with the motto "Turn old into new".
The business park is expected to help create 130 new jobs by efficiently using an underutilized site and transforming it into a high-quality innovation district.
The access to local talent in research and development, as well as access to internationally operating infrastructure and utility companies makes this location a perfect base for us in Germany.Lisa Assenmacher (VP People & Places at EVBox)
It's the people, the openness you encounter here, the curiosity for new things and this is what makes it a perfect location for us as an international and young company.Markus Dehn (SVP Product Management and AC Engineering at EVBox)
