BORDEAUX, December 12, 2024 — EVBox today announces an important milestone for the company and its future of its DC solutions. Late November 2024, ENGIE, the current parent company of EVBox, signed an agreement with LAFIP (La Financiere de Pessac) to transfer ownership of EVBox’s DC business. This deal, expected to be finalized in mid-January 2025, ensures that EVBox’s brand remains, while all activities related to the development, delivery, and support of DC solutions will continue seamlessly under LAFIP’s leadership.
This marks a return to the roots for Eric Stempin, the founder of EVTronic, a company that was acquired by EVBox in 2018, specialized in DC superfast charging technologies. Under Eric’s leadership, LAFIP will now take over EVBox's DC operations, continuing the strong legacy of expertise in this field.
The EVBox DC portfolio, including fast charging stations like EVBox Troniq Modular and EVBox Troniq High Power, will continue to be available in all existing markets outside North America.
️The aftersales operations that are essential to providing customers with the most reliable recharging business will continue and be further developed and the company’s commitment to delivering reliable and high-quality DC charging solutions remains stronger than ever.
EVBox wants to thank customers and partners for their trust and support as we move forward with LAFIP. Together, we are committed to shaping the future of sustainable mobility while maintaining our focus on you—our valued DC customers.
More information will follow in the upcoming months. Make sure to keep an eye on the EVBox website.
