CATEC Mobility is set to revolutionize the fleet management industry by partnering with LeasePlan Emirates to install EVBox electric vehicle charging stations across the Middle East and North Africa.
AMSTERDAM, September 14, 2021 – During the first phase of its strategic partnership with EVBox, CATEC Mobility successfully installed a series of EVBox BusinessLine charging stations at LeasePlan Emirates’ headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The move represents the initial stages of electric mobility adoption in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, as well as the advancement of the region’s fleet management and leasing industries.
By providing scalable EVBox charging stations compatible with every electric vehicle, parking space, and power capacity, CATEC Mobility has established a strong position in the electric mobility industry. This agreement with LeasePlan Emirates represents a significant move for CATEC Mobility within the MENA region.

Thanks to the partnership with EVBox, CATEC Mobility aims to become the leading full-service provider of EV charging solutions in the MENA region. Its offerings already include both AC and DC EVBox charging stations, ranging from 3.7 kWh to 50 kWh.
EVBox’s recently published Mobility Monitor Report shows record-high support for electric vehicles, with more drivers considering investing in an EV than ever before. However, the report also found that, despite growing interest in EVs, respondents are increasingly worried about poor charging infrastructure, citing a lack of charging stations as one of the main issues.
EVBox is helping CATEC Mobility and LeasePlan Emirates to change this narrative by improving the scale and quality of EV charging infrastructure across more than 18 countries in the MENA region. The scalability of EVBox charging stations will enable the partnership to usher in a new era of electric mobility and continue improving the fleet leasing industry for years to come.
