Scania, EVBox, and ENGIE join forces to accelerate the development of electric bus and truck transport solutions in Europe
EVBox and ENGIE have signed a partnership for four years with Scania, a world-leading provider of transport solutions, to set an example for the transport industry and its environmental responsibilities.
Amsterdam, November 12, 2020—Scania recently announced that it will begin bringing new electrified vehicles to the market on an annual basis in the coming years to accelerate the shift toward eMobility. Electrification is a very important part of Scania's ambition to decarbonize transport, which is why the company is establishing a global partnership with ENGIE and EVBox.
This unprecedented cooperation will focus on both trucks and buses applications, and provide complete charging solutions to Scania’s customers. The solutions will be tailored to real fleet and depot management needs, electrified heavy vehicles, smart charging infrastructure, service and maintenance, green energy supply, as well as financing.
To support its customers throughout the entire electrification process, Scania will not only offer electric vehicles but also electric charging solutions. EVBox is providing Scania with intelligent and scalable high-power charging solutions tailored to the needs of its customers. Additionally, Scania will offer field services and training sessions for its drivers as part of its standard portfolio.
ENGIE will design, offer, install, and maintain the electric charging solutions and related services for Scania customers across a variety of key regions.
