EVBox Partners with Climate Action to Raise Awareness of International Sustainable Development ahead of United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26)
EVBox, a leading provider of flexible and scalable electric vehicle charging solutions, is partnering with Climate Action, an organization focusing on the environment and renewable natural resources. EVBox will take part in this year’s Transport Transition Summit in May, as well as the Sustainable Investment Forum in September. Both events will help raise awareness of climate change ahead of COP26, which will take place in November.
AMSTERDAM, April 13, 2021 — EVBox, to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange Market (NYSE: TPGY) in the coming months, becomes the official partner of Climate Action, a global network consisting of over 1300 environmental non-governmental organizations across more than 130 countries. Leading up to the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, Climate Action is hosting several virtual events throughout the year to raise awareness and bring forward-thinking businesses, organizations, and individuals together.
To identify innovative solutions to the challenges posed by climate change and a growing population, EVBox will present at the Transport Transition Summit, taking (virtually) place on May 11–12, 2021. EVBox wants to empower forward-thinking businesses to collaborate and build an interconnected, international, and decarbonized transport system.
EVBox President and CEO, Kristof Vereenooghe, will be joining as a keynote speaker for a Climate Leaders Live interview. Koen Noyens, Director of Policy for Electric Mobility (EU), will join a panel discussion about transport solutions for a global decarbonized economy.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, aviation and public transport have been greatly affected, resulting in many people using personal vehicles more often.
During the Transport Transition Summit, there will be a discussion about how the global pandemic has affected people’s transportation habits. This event will serve as an opportunity to share knowledge about the lessons learned from the pandemic regarding the need for sustainable mobility and transportation. Additionally, there will be another discussion on how policy, investment, and innovation can combine to build and deploy the necessary infrastructure required to support the mass adoption of sustainable mobility.
